I made new MiniMeows! They are partly meant for our last bazaar in June 2011, 'Purzaar' in conjunction with the Cats of the World Exhibition on 18th June2011, from 11am to 6pm. Come & get to touch & feel the SmeowlyCats gang! We are bringing EVERYTHING there!

Two More Flopsies!!

New Flopses! This time, with corduroy underbellies! Reason? Well, I'm glad you asked!

Well. Although I am not unhappy about Original Flops I being extremely curled-up, it was not my intention for her to be so. So, of course, I had to try to realise my initial plans for her. Right? Call me fussy.


Corduroy bellies also make for texture! Who can honestly tell me that they do not like the feeling of corduoy & velvet?!?!?!

How RIVETTING!

I'm in the midst of preparing for upcoming bazaars in June (I will update with details closer to the dates), so I am making tags & stuff for the Smeowlys I have in stock. So it was (hand) stamp stamp stamp (the SmeowlyCats logo) & (hand) punch punch punch (the rivets). Just look at the yield! There were actually a lot more, but by the time I thought of taking this photo, I had already tagged most of the dolls.

SmeowlySockCats for Autumn Types

Muted colours for autumn-type people. Many times, I know a lot of people prefer bright colours for softies, but I do like to do things in muted colures as well. One day, I will do my all-black, all-white, all-gray & all-brown kitties.

Earthy has orange eyes. I just LOVE kitties with orange eyes!

Murk with his red eyes. Contrary to what a lot of people think, red eyes are not scary. They are only scary when accompanied by scary or grotesque features.

Kimmie for Korea!

This is Kimmie. Mummy fell in love with Sammie & got one made for Lil Louis. If you did click on Sammie's link, you would have noticed that the shape of their faces are some what different. The reason behind this is that these fellows are done patternless & will not necessarily look exactly the same. Not even if you put a gun to my head.


Anyong Haseyo! My name is Kimmie. I will go home to Seoul in January 2011. Mummy will collect me personally.

My belly, it is filled with beads. I will calm Lil Louis, the newborn down, if he is feeling agitated.

I have a friend. He is a MiniMeow. We were made from the same fabric. Mummy likes strong, plain colours, so I do not have colourful stripes like MiniMeow does.


I have a tag! All of us do! But mine is on my hind paw, so when Lil Louis decide to use me as a pillow, the tag will not irritate his face!

PaperWeighties (New Stuff)

I had a request to do paper weights & I didn't just want to come up with one measly paper weight which is a downsized version of a MiniMeow (yes, but I also did that, because I can - Minier Meows.. Haha.). So here's the gang!

We are the PaperWeighties!

Do take note of this pink pinstriped mousie & the grey one below. This fellow's base is longer & narrower. The fabric also plays a part in the different look of the 2 mice. The pink pinstriped fabric does have some stretch in it, but the fabric itself is stiffer.

This fellow's base is wider & slightly shorter. The grey fabric is jersey (teeshirt material), hence, the softer look & feel.

This fellow is what I call the simplest form of a crouching cat, which is why his face is sideways, which means that I did not make a booboo. Note the ear details.

Minier Meows. Smaller than those MiniMeows. You did know that you can request for different materials for em, right?

The bases of the Minier Meows. I just thought I'd experiment with different bases. Makes the shape a bit different too, but the round base is more stable.

These particular pieces are not for sale, but you can order them. You can request for bunnies & owls too.

A Mini Palm-Sized Present

I made a Mini LankyCat for Lynn. Minis are hard to make, so I won't be repeating the process anytime soon, if at all. I just wanted to show off the cute lil fella!

What Were You Up to Last Night?

Well, I was good & I stayed in to sew. I finished 1 of the 'Got More Fish?' Gang (not shown here, as after I finished it, my customer requested for another & they would be nice photographed together, so I'll hold) & will be completing 6 more today! These are the heads of the said 6!

Why do we feel so disconnected?

I find the scaley ones especially funny, & I'm thinking of a good name for them. suggestions are welcome!

We Are Family....

.... I got all my sisters and me..... Hahahaha... I love that song... but semi-out-of-topic...

This cat family was done for a family of 3. Papa lyon, Mama tiger & Baby cub. It is Mama & Papa's 6th anniversary on 30/05/10 & the bleu (yes I meant to spell it that way) lyon is just for him! Happy anniversary, Gus & Sue!!! Looking at many more to come!
